Aniversario de vientisiete anos!

Yep...we have been married 27 years today. Anyone who wants to please feel free to correct any Spanish I write...that means you Ohilda! I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man of God. You truly live out your life in a Jesus way and I love you with all my heart. You are faithful to the Word and faithful to our family. We were such babies when we married not even twenty years old yet you always had a wisdom beyond your years. Thank you for all of our children. God has blessed us so abundantly. We always wanted a large family. The Lord has granted all my prayers. You all bring me love, joy, peace and happiness. I love you Greg.

Things I love about Costa Rica:
*The rain....we have a metal roof and I love hearing it pour down.
*The fruit and vegetable market on Saturday mornings....inexpensive and delicioso!
(I made homemade salsa today)
*The friendly local people....I am praying for a very special friend.
*The way you leave your windows and front door open and are able to see so many people and activities outside your door. I love to watch people.
*The beautiful mountains especially when the sun is just shining over parts of it and it is green and beautiful.
*Bread is my favorite food group and I do not like the sandwich bread here so that is a plus for dieting. Although, the bread in the bakery is delicious but Greg is forbidden to enter the bakery until we lose a little weight;)The french bread from the bakery early in the morning is absolutely scrumptious.
*Lottie LOVES the bread here and eats a sandwich every morning for breakfast. Actually, Lottie is eating all the time now!
*Simple living.
*We live in the San Francisco area of San Jose and it is just like San Francisco, CA with the steep hills. I think it is very pretty here and good for walking!
*That leads to walking....I love it that we are forced to walk everywhere we go except that Lottie is a total princess and does not like to walk but we are working on it.

Things I miss in America:
*Family and friends
*Air conditioning (I am very hot natured but people say my body will adjust)
*Dishwasher
*Dust Buster (you know those little vacuums)
*I can walk around anywhere and everywhere with my camera and feel safe.

So...hmmmm....my list is much longer about what I like here than what I miss so I think I am doing well. I chose pictures of the girls eating because that is ALL they do! It is a wonderful blessing because eating has never been a priority for them so I love it!

Hey there my friend! Your spanish is getting good. (You did stick and extra "i" in veintisiete, though. :)

Feliz aniversario! 27 years! That's awesome. I, too, love that your things you miss list is shorter than the things you love.

Bread is my fav food group, too! :)

Hugs!

You are such an inspiration to me! I'm soo excited that your girls will have the experience of being 3rd culture girls - google it - there a number of us!!! This adventure will enrich your lives in ways you never imagined! Thank you for blessing those of us that are living vicariously through you!!!! GOD bless you all!!!

Congratulations! It inspires me to know that God is using you and Greg to begin a new life as career missionaries 27 years after you were first married...

What an amazing list!! 27 years!!!!!??? Really?? What a wonderful way to begin your life as missionaries (though it really began a long time ago!)

Keep recording the things of your heart - what you love & miss - Costa Rica sounds amazing - but I know it is hard to leave your "other" life - and your other babies!
