Viva Mexico!

Sweet Emma. On Independence Day all of the children and adults wear red, white or green. Emma was very excited to go shopping for her own Mexican dress. Then she saw this "pink" one. Pink is her all time favorite color in the universe! She had to have it, so of course we had to get it for her.
She loved it and twirled and danced around the church in it last night.
Emmie loves to be a princess:)

Doesn't she just make you want to scoop her up and squeeze her tight? Too precious! She looked so precious standing there holding that flag and she was very shy and did not want me to take her picture but how could I resist?
 Lottie and Camila
I don't remember her name but the baby's name is Melanie. See I remember all of the children's names! This is her sister's baby (I believe) and they walked over to me when they first got there and set her in my lap and said they needed to run back home for their outfits and some decorations. Emma came over when I was talking to the baby and said," Is that your new baby Mommy?" I told her no, and that I could assure her we were not getting any more babies, "she" is the only baby in our family. She smiled really big and ran off prancing and dancing on her toes:)

Some of the youth in the church. They are involved in every ministry that exists in this church. They lead music, teach the children in Sunday school, meet for discipleship meetings, minister to alcoholics and have a skateboard ministry as well. A new generation in Mexico growing in Christ, a very special group of young people.

Max and Lottie. I really tried to find Lottie and I outfits but could not find anything for adults and Lottie is never into dressing up for occasions. But she did let one of the youth paint red, white and green on her little cheeks. Huge people....that was huge....and I wasn't even standing there when it happened! I'm still working on the whole "flower girl" idea. No worries Elisabeth!!! She'll come through:)
These fireworks were being set off by none other than......Lottie and Max. Yes, my sweet baby girl was taught how to do this with the pastor and his son. Gotta love Mexico. She came running over to me with her hands all black and she was so proud of herself, I suggested that she go and wash her hands and she said, "No way Mommy, I'm having too much fun". This child loathes getting dirty.

I didn't get one picture of my pozole or anyone eating it but they did and they loved it, I think they loved the idea more that a Texas girl cooked it. But it is super easy and I felt like a part of their special celebration.

Prayer request. I apparently exposed Elisabeth to mono when I was there and now she has it! God bless her, I know this will be hard with her school so please pray for her. I am still not feeling well, matter of fact, we left early last night because I had a migraine beyond migraines! I woke up at 8:00 this morning and went back to bed from 10:00-2:00, I just think there must be something else wrong with me? I have been this way for over a year now. A sweet friend gave me the phone number of her doctor she uses here so we will call him on Monday.

That is so funny that they left their baby with you. You just LOOK like the type of woman that would keep someone's baby, don't you!?

So sweet to see Emma getting into the spirit!
