New Life in Christ

This is the worship team at La Iglesia Que Te Ama

While most of Mexico is celebrating Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) one of the churches we have been working with had eight baptisms last Sunday! Eight!!! So while Mexico City seems alive with selling flowers, decorations, skulls, bread and food for the festivities in the cemetery with their deceased relatives for the next few days, these precious people have chosen a different path.....a much narrower path. The path won't be easy, especially living here, some have probably risked much. Some parents here will disown their own children for becoming Christ followers.  But on Sunday they made a public testimony of their love for Jesus!

But their Heavenly Father has adopted them into His family. He will love them...nurture them...provide for them...teach them...and guide them for the rest of their days on this earth.

"I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you....not to abandon you" (Jeremiah 29:11 The Message)

We have a loving God who is filled with compassion, He hurts when we hurt. We serve a God that embraces us whether we succeed or fail.  He is there....He is always there! He is there underneath all of the paperwork on your desk... He is there in the midst of the personal struggle that you deal with every day... He is there for the child that is listening to his parents fight in the next room....He is there when you have lost hope in everything and everyone. This is the God our new friends in Christ have chosen to follow!

If you don't know Him and if you ever have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me! I would love to begin walking along beside you and I would be honored to pray for you.

The next time you hear a baby laugh or see an ocean wave, take note.  Pause and listen as His majesty whispers ever so gently, “I’m here.”(Max Lucado)

Awesome! It still amazes me how much God loves each and every one of us. Most of the time we put our problems as the top priority of the day instead of focuses on God's love for us. It fills me with joy to see these new Christians as they are baptized!
