I love our backyard! We eat outside lots:)
This Mommy is not too pleased with monkey girl doing this over a concrete patio so we may have to put something soft underneath it;)
I love this smile!
We finally have our swing set built! They were here until midnight last night trying to finish it but did not get the slide put on but that's okay because it is even amazing without the slide! The girls are in heaven and I'm so happy for them. Now we just need some friends to share it with:) Who wants to come and play?
I went to the hospital this morning to get all of my tests done. I was really impressed. It was so modern and very organized. While Greg was paying for my tests and geting me on the list to go back to the lab, there were lots of people there waiting, the woman who was handing out numbers and making sure people went to the right windows to pay was totally enchanted with the girls. She asked lots of questions of which I was happy to answer. Then she began telling me about a ballet school that was probably close to our house and an elementary school that Asians go to here. I was thinking....what Asians? I never see Asian people here. Anyway, apparently it is a great school and the children all learn Mandarin, English and Spanish. Lottie began pulling on my jacket and I looked down and she was shaking her head "no". ha ha She understands practically everything people say to me:) Although I would love for both girls to learn their native languages we will just continue homeschooling for now. Besides, they don't teach Korean. Here they call the girls "Japoneses"and they think that Mandarin is the universal Asian language I guess. I have tried to explain the difference but I usually just get that "deer in the headlights" look so now I just let it go. So they told me to sit down and wait for my name to be called and Greg and the girls headed to Starbucks for coffee and muffins. It was already 11:00 and I was starving! Right after they walked away, the same woman came up to me and took my hand and led me to the back....sort of like sneaking me off to the lab. She handed me off to a lab guy and he took all of my blood....for real....I didn't think he was going to leave me any! Then she took me back outside. She gave the girls balloons, cookies and suckers and asked me to come and visit with her when I come back to the doctor. Wasn't she nice? It was like having my own little angel there with watching over me:) So with all of that said.....they will e-mail me and the doctor the results on the 11th. Yes, it is very different here. And I go back to see him on the 18th, so keep praying for some good news!!
In case you don't know this handsome guy, he is Mark....Elisabeth's fiancee:) We all love him so much. He's pretty popular with Lottie and Emma too. Each morning before homeschool, the girls draw pictures of someone or something they want to pray for before we begin our day and then we study the bible. Last week Emma drew a picture of the family. So I asked her who all of the people were, she named Daddy, Mommy, Bubba, Sissy, Lottie and Emma. Lottie told her she left out Mark. Emma preceded to tell her that Mark wasn't in the family until he married Sissy. Oh dear.....the entire morning went South after that, Lottie had huge tears streaming down her face and demanded that Emma draw Mark in her prayer journal. Ever have a bible study go bad like this? (hee hee) Lottie insisted that Mark did NOT have to be married to Sissy to be in our family. Later that day, I found Emma's prayer journal on Lotite's desk and "someone" had drawn Mark into the family photo:) All is well again. Mark's mom took this picture when we were at her house for lunch and it is obvious how much they love him. I'm so thankful that he has joined our family. We are truly blessed:)
