We stayed at a Marriott and it had a heated pool, a trampoline, a playground and a bathtub! We didn't have any extra time to swim but just knowing it is here in case we want to go back is awesome for a future vacation. Just driving in Puebla without all of the extra people, cars and traffic felt like a vacation! lol
We arrived on Friday, checked in and headed downtown for some Christmas presents for friends and family and of course.....to eat Tacos al Pastor! Sorry Mark, James and Elisabeth:) Saturday we headed to our old favorite mall because I wanted to look at dresses for the wedding. I found one for me! It is really beautiful and I hope Elisabeth likes it. Greg let me shop and walk around by myself and he took the girls to their favorite game place with arcade games. There was a new game since we had been there in the Spring and the girl won 1,000 tickets the first time they played it, Wow!
These trampoline pictures are blurry as I am not good at action shots but I can just feel the joy in their hearts. Love it!
We went to Puebla for a celebration of cell churches and so we were able to see lots of friends that we made last year when we lived there. It was really precious while we were picking some families up that needed a ride. Our girls were on one side of the road and all of the other little girls were just looking at them. Then a cute little ladybug brought them all together. They were all giggling and having the best time. The ladybug drove with us in the van to the celebration. She died as we were about to leave the party:(
Is that the sweetest little face with the biggest brown eyes? She wouldn't let me pick her up but she let Greg:)
Our dear friend Manuel, we miss his family so much
I love this woman! She is a pastor's wife and keeps me giggling at all times. I told Greg on the way home after we dropped everyone off that I sure wish I had her for a friend right next door. She has the warmest heart and the most beautiful smile:)
Scott and Sherry! This picture is for you! Guess who is having a baby in November? We told her we needed a picture of her pregnant tummy and Roberto was going to lift her shirt up but she slapped his hand. ha ha They look really happy don't they? I know they miss you both very much!
This was at the end of the celebration. It was a much smaller area than last year and nothing really for the kids to play on so it was (ahem) challenging with my girls, but especially Lottie. I wanted to spend time with so many different people but there wasn't enough time or space. These three older girls wanted their pictures taken with the girls but as you can see, they were "done" with picture taking. I didn't want to be in the picture but there was no other way to get them to participate. lol
On Sunday morning, we went to church with Manuel and his family then we headed to Atlixco to have lunch. This restaurant was nestled in the mountains and the scenery was breathtaking. I can't believe we lived close to this place for a year and never knew about it! They had a running brook that produced water from the volcano Popo, well...his real name is Popocatepetl, they call him Popo for short. There were rides, a playground, cotton candy and horses to ride.
This is Rode! Manuel and Seli had a baby while we were in the state, she is gorgeous! She looks just like her sister Febe. Seli is swinging her in a hammock and she loves it!
Lottie, Febe and Emma Jane
And off they go! They didn't have enough small ponies for Emma to have one so she is riding tall on a pretty black horse. She felt very special;)
This group left after the girls but this little colt was running desperately after it's Mommy. About five minutes later, it came back....alone. Poor thing:(
Another baby getting milk from it's Mommy. It was so tiny because it was a pony and the girls thought it was so sweet. Interesting they saw this and baby Rode getting fed today also. Emma asked, "Does Seli give her baby milk and juice like that or just milk?" lol Gotta love their curiosity! Then it started a whole segment of questions on how they were fed when they were first born. (sigh) This part always makes Lottie sad.
Rode! Beautiful and wonderfully made by our Creator!
Seli, Febe and Rode. I miss them already.

So glad you were able to take a little getaway and even visit "home" for a bit! :)
What wonderful pics of some very happy and special memories. As always your girls are just beautiful. Can't wait to see your beautiful dress for your beautiful daughter's special day! I know you are relieved to have found your dress.
How fun they got to go on a pony ride.... they didn't even have to go around in circles. heehee
Something to celebrate for sure when the Kingdom of God is increasing!
Shine sister Shine!
Love you

What a special weekend...love the photos!!
I only got one thing to say - you look awfully skinny of eating all those tacos and cheese quesadillas and tamales. Is there a secret!? Lol!,
Glad you got to see some old friends.
Guess I had more than one thing to say :)
