Birthday , Bicycle, Baby Dedication and Busting a Pinata!

Lottie's new bike!!! She loves it:) She thought she was big enough to not have training wheels so Greg raised them some and she changed her mind. lol Thank goodness because we don't have a helmet and we had it on our list to buy in Texas!
I tell ya...this child gets prettier by the moment
I took some pictures of the worship team at this church. They are really talented and love the Lord!

This is Carla and she's not smiling because she was listening but she is such a wonderful girl inside and out
They had a baby dedication today!
Laying hands on the baby during the prayer and everyone agreeing to help raise him up in God's love

Greg's grilled chicken and pasta with tomato sauce. There is always some sort of a mild pasta for the children at any place we eat. Emma loves this pasta and the rice. She ate two plates of rice, pasta, chicken and two hot tortillas.
The green salsa looking stuff is their guacamole and it is very hot! Greg loves loves loves it:) The woman who makes it at this church obviously is gifted in this area. The raw looking meat stuff in the bowl was served at my house also but I have no idea what it is and ...I'm sorry...but I have not been courageous enough to try it. They love it here and I have searched the internet for what kind of meat it is because when I ask what is in it they say "carne" which is meat. Meat of what animal? That's what I want to know! lol They say it is a typical meat for tostadas so if someone knows please tell me!!!
Yummy quesadillas! Oh dear...I ate 5 of these...5!!! They were filled with potatoes and cheese and fried. Then you add lettuce, cilantro, onions and guacamole. Not "our" kind of guacamole, the one described above. I'm certain I will pay for this tomorrow but they were so worth it. Gina's dad made them and I must have told him ten times how much I loved them:)
Mexican rice with tomatoes. This is typical at almost every meal.
Corn on the cob. HUGE corn on the cob I might add;) They slather mayonnaise all over it and then sprinkle a powder spice of spicy chile
 Pinata time! Smallest babies first:)
This is Santiago. He is precious and always has a smile for everyone.  He loves Lottie and Emma:)

Lottie didn't want a turn. She got embarrassed and began to cry. Poor little thing. Everyone was chanting her name and that made it worse...I think. So Max was next. I'm not sure who put Max before all of the girls had a chance to swing because he busted it wide open!
And then Emma wore the head:)
Birthday cake! Flan with chocolate cake on the bottom.
And a trick candle where the flame kept coming back. Ha! So Emma, Santiago and Lottie kept trying to blow it out for good.
All of the people who had November birthdays cut the first piece together. I was super proud of Lottie for doing this after the pinata disaster:) See Emma drooling over the cake. She loves flan and tres leches cake!
And here's the gang. Maya, Emma, Lottie, Max and Santiago.

It was hard to say goodbye to them knowing we wouldn't see everyone until January. They told us they would be praying for Elisabeth's graduation, the wedding, the holidays and then they said they would pray for our travel back and then informed us to be ready to get to work! This church is so excited about reaching the lost. So that's about it....next time you hear from me....we will be in Texas!!!!

Oh sweet Lottie. Grace would definitely have done the same thing! She doesn't like being the center of attention (at least not most of the time).

We had a fish soup in China that looks a lot like that soup. It was incredible! Too bad you didn't try any, but the quesadillas do look like they were delicious!

Praying for a wonderful time in Texas!! Wish we could visit you while you are in the states!

I love these posts, Kim. It's like a party every time!^^ And the kids seem to have such a good time, too, you know, piñata breakdowns not included.

Is church a pot-luck every time?
Bread filled with cheese and potatoes and then fried *q* I feel my insulin level rising just by looking at that picture! LOL
Erhm, that "carne" thing.. So it's a raw non-fish kinda carne?? It's obviously not beef, and it looks like chicken or pork which scares me to be honest. I wouldn't want to eat that raw D: Let me know if you ever find out cos I'm kinda intrigued now :D

Oh my....I will probably leave you a book of a comment.

First off, I loooove the pictures of the worship team. It is so obvious that they were completely engrossed in praising the Lord. So beautiful.

And the food.

Kim...I'm coming for a visit.

I love fried taco shells. Love them. We use to live in California, where it was so easy to find restaurants that did this...but in Colorado there are NONE. So we are forced to do it ourselves at home, which makes a HUGE mess. So we do it only for very special occasions. :)

Also, that fish soup and the guacamole look FANTASTIC. I bet I could have eaten a ton of both.

And how fun is the pinata? I think pinata's are the best things at parties. Who doesn't love to beat candy out of some cute little cartoon character. :)

And if you ever find out the meat...tell me, please. :)

Love you so much.
