The girls received a box today from the sweetest Sunday School class ever from First Baptist Irving!
You know those birthday cards that play songs when you open them? Lottie LOVES these and there was one inside for her birthday. I have heard the song in it at least 60 times since yesterday:)
I thought I took a picture of all of the things laid out on the floor but I guess I didn't and my camera is packed away now. There were tons of stickers, googly eyes and stick on foam, bandaids, Thanksgiving post its (I swiped these...sorry!), a "Give Thanks" door hanger and a Thanksgiving dish towel! It wasn't long before they made these little reindeer crafts.
Lottie just couldn't get past the fact that someone would send them all of these things and do nice things for them even though they don't "know" them. When the child gets stuck on something, we could be there for awhile. So I finally told her that I'm sure the people here in Mexico wonder the same things about us. Like each time we hand them a baggie with juice and treats in it, they must think, "Why did they do that for me?" Then I asked her if she knew why. She said, "Because Jesus wants us to show people He loves them." Yep....she gets it:)

What a special gift to our girls. This Sunday school class is so involved with our family and the people's needs in Mexico. They are all about praying for us and our ministry. The most exciting thing is that we hope to meet them in person after Christmas. I can't wait to meet them and hug some very special people:)

Oh, I'm so glad that you'll get to meet all of these special people. What a wonderful encouragement for your girls (and for you!).
Blessings,
Sarah
I, too, am really amazed at what some people who don't "know" us would be willing to do for us! I guess when it's done in the name of Jesus, it's really for HIM!!
And how sweet it is!!
Kerry loves singing cards too! In face, every time we go to Wal-Mart she wants to go look at the cards.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your lovely family!
Gin =)
