Thanksgiving and a family wedding shower

Greg's family gave Elisabeth and Mark a wedding shower while we were there for Thanksgiving dinner, of which I took NO pictures. Ugh! The food was amazing and we ate LOTS :)
Isn't that the sweetest frame ever? The cake was super delicious and everything was perfect! It was so intimate and special, just the way Elisabeth likes it:)
The handsome groom. Poor Mark couldn't get within 2 feet of the presents or his beautiful bride.
Cousin Sophie, Elisabeth and Emma reading a card.
All the little ones with Mark and Elisabeth,. Elisabeth is like a child magnet!
Now this picture describes something very special that happened on Thanksgiving Day. The girls met their cousin Sophie and at first everyone was shy but before long they were squealing and giggling and you often heard the expression, "She's my best friend". Family is so important and living away from family is so hard because when you look at this picture, you know they are missing out on knowing their sweet little cousin Sophie. I realize there are also great things that happen in Mexico but you can't beat times like this!
On our way to Grammy and Poppa's house and the kids watched a movie in the back. Is it obvious I gave Lottie a dramamine right after I took this picture. Oh dear...she was a little pale:(
We had Thanksgiving again at  my mom's and just look how amazing my precious Daddy looks! What a miracle! He has no restrictions and he can do anything, no more dialysis! Thank you Lord!
Grammy and Lottie. My mom ordered Lottie this super cape and mask for her birthday. She rarely took it off! She loves loves loves it!!!

We lost Lottie's blankie "Fluffy" at a restaurant. Well, actually I left it there. Poo! I went to Target and no baby soft baby blankets, just flannel. Yuck. So I found a soft maternity shirt and cut it up for her and that seemed to be okay. She was so big about it and didn't cry. She only sucks her thumb at night and only for a few minutes before she falls asleep but she smells her blankie when she is upset and it comforts her.

I shared this news with our dearest friend Stephanie and she and precious Allie Boo rushed over to James' house with a blankie. Lottie had given Allie Boo a blanket she has always slept with as a baby because she wanted Allie to sleep with something of hers. Allie still sleeps with it but it is a thick blanket with a heavy trim around the outside. Stephanie brought it over and cut the trim off and lo and behold....there were two think blankets laying on top of each other! So now Allie and Lottie each have a part of the special blankie and they will always think of each other while they are loving on their blankies. Lottie named her new blankie "Rosy".

Today we are off to see Elisabeth in her dress for her final fitting. We have lots to do this week and lots of last minute things to take care of. I love ya'll and hope you had the best turkey day ever!!!!!

Oh, what a special shower for your beautiful girl and her wonderful almost-hubby.

I'm so happy that your dad is feeling better...what an answer to prayer!

We lost Lily's blanket on a trip once. We bought her a new one, and she was okay with it, but when we found the old one wedged in between the seats of the car she threw the new one across the seat and grabbed the old one in a jiffy. Those blankets are sure comforting. I love that Lottie names her blankets.

I am so glad you are having such a wonderful time with family!!! That makes me so happy. :)

And I can so relate to the blanket thing... Caleb had a blanket that he sucked on in order to go to sleep. :) If we didn't take it with us...or if we lost it, we were in BIG trouble. Thankfully I ended up buying about 10 of them from Target, and cutting them on in pieces, so we always had some on hand. :)

your parents both look amazing!! so glad that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and wedding shower for Elisabeth! Everything looked so wonderful. You are probably enjoying the reprieve from mexican food, right?

Stephanie and Allie are the BEST!! sorry you lost Lottie's blankey. we left Mya's at a hotel a few months back and went back and they said they couldnt find it :( They called when we were almost home though and had found it and they mailed it to us!! Thank the LORD! She was a big girl and carter said he would give her his baby blanket, which was sweet to see/hear.

Enjoy your holiday and vacation! so happy for you!!
