"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23)
Lottie loves to work with her Daddy.
She will help him do anything he asks her to do, this is the one time she is super obedient.
This time with her Daddy is so special to her. She especially loves it when they use tools! She doesn't mind hard labor and she is always eager to learn. It might be more work for Greg when she helps because she asks hundreds of questions about everything!
What this Mommy loves about it, is that it shows her how to be a good servant. To her, carrying the branches and hauling them over to the curb is just pure joy. When she is finished working, I tell her how proud God is of her and the work she did for her Daddy. I tell her that God is especially proud of her obedience and her faithfulness to finish the task.....with no grumbling. She never complains. Oh how I pray her servant heart grows so that she may serve Him and that He might use her gifts in a mighty way!
What was Emma doing you ask? Well....Emma is so much like her Mommy:) She gave it her best shot and tried to help but she ended up being discouraged that she wasn't having any fun. So we decided our gifts were different and we just made sure they had something cold to drink. I don't think Emma and I were built for manual labor...ha ha!

So glad for Lottie's willingness to help. G would be right there with her. Emma is sweet to try and yes different kids, different gifts.
I don't like manual labor either.
hehehehe. hug everyone for me!
Oh, they are both just so cute, Kim.
I am the kind who is so gung-ho to begin with, but then I totally lose steam. I don't know how many projects I've started, that Mike ends up finishing, because I bite off way more than I can chew. :)
I like to think of it as I am the "motivator." I might not physically get it done...but I am the one who helps start projects. :)
Good job, Lottie! And Emma, I think that drinks are absolutely necessary, as well!
Oh my goodness...this post brought me from tears to laughter! I love your family!
Merry Christmas my precious friend!
Love you!
So sweet!!!!! I love your narrative too! I never thought of that as being "gifts" but I do believe you are right!
Love you sister!!!!!
